My January Petit Vour box arrived and it was definitely full of some great non-toxic goodies. I love this subscription box because it’s reasonably priced and it gives me the opportunity to try four new non-toxic and cruelty free products a month. They also have a great point system where you can basically get $4 back a month by reviewing the products that are in your box. How amazing is that?
Cinnamon is one of my favorite scents. I love adding it to everything this time of year, especially my coffee. However, if you aren’t a fan of cinnamon scent, I would definitely steer clear as it is a little strong for a tiny product. It turns out that the cinnamon is actually what causes the plumping and tingle, so no toxic plumping chemicals to beware of, which I love! The cinnamon is also anti-fungal, anti-bacterial and stimulates blood circulation. I have applied this under lipstick as well as on it’s own. It does have a strong tingle feeling for a few minutes after its applied and it does plump my lips. It definitely doesn’t make me Kylie Jenner though. Such a good replacement for my old lip plumper! Not to mention, it’s super moisturizing because of the coconut and almond oil!
If there is one thing I hate about serums, it’s when they leave an oily residue behind. I was a little wary when I applied this one as it does have more of an oil consistency than my current favorite OSEA’s Hyaluronic Sea Serum which you can read about here. However, once you take a few seconds to rub it in and allow it to dry, it leaves my skin feeling moisturized and plump. It has Frankincense essential oil which helps to rejuvenate skin and Rose oil which smooths and firms. It does have a light Rose smell which I absolutely love. However, I’m not sure I’m ready to toss out my current serum for this one.
If I had to pick an MVP of this box, it would definitely be this product. I am so glad that it came in the box, that it was a generous sized product and that it works so well! So if I’m being completely honest, I still have eyelash extensions. So therefore, I try to steer clear of eye products as I don’t want them to build up or cause my extensions to fall out prematurely. However, this eye wash is safe for extensions. It also works amazing! I used it after a formal night out where I had worn eye primer, shadow, brow balm, mascara and eyeliner. This foamy soap took all of that off with a single wash! Not only that, it was super gentle and didn’t take a ton of product to get everything off. It is so gentle it can also be used to clean falsies!
I love that Andalou Naturals has come out with their own non-toxic sheet masks that are also eco friendly. I loved how saturated this one was and by the time I removed it (20 minutes after I put it on) it was almost dry which means my skin really soaked up the serums. These are a great budget friendly find (only $5) and can be found at Amazon, Walgreens and Target! After I tried this one, I ordered Andalou Natural’s other three kinds to try out! (You can find those here, here and here.
Overall, it was another great box from Petit Vour and I am definitely continuing my subscription. It gave me a chance to try some new non-toxic and cruelty products and I’ve found some new go to’s! Have you tried Petit Vour or another non-toxic beauty box? Be sure to let me know in the comments below. I’d love to check it out!
